Luncheon Speaker: Sally Roesch Wagner

During this year's Women for Women Day event at the capitol, we will be featuring a guest speaker during lunch. This year's speaker is Sally Roesch Wagner, One of the first women to receive a doctorate for work in women’s studies in the United States (UC Santa Cruz, 1978).

Dr. Wagner is also a founder of one of the country’s first women’s studies programs at California State University, Sacramento (1970). A women’s studies professor for over 37 years, she is Adjunct Faculty in the Honors Program at Syracuse University and Executive Director of the Gage Foundation in Fayetteville, New York. Wagner is the nation’s foremost authority on Matilda Joslyn Gage.

The lunch will be held at the King's Inn in Pierre. It is free to those participating in Women 4 Women day and there will be vegetarian options available.
