Promising News for the Fight against Cervical Cancer

A second cervical cancer vaccine, Cervarix, is available in 97 other countries and thanks to a World Health Organization approval statement, global access to Cervarix should greatly increase. This is great news for women’s health around the world and for the fight against cervical cancer.

The FDA is expected to decide whether or not to approve the vaccine for use in the US in the next few months and if approved, the availability of two cervical cancer vaccines, Cervarix and Gardasil, would greatly benefit women in the US and worldwide.
